Our Origins

Our road began in 1999, inspired by the debut of the Northrop B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber. An idea sparked in the mind of a skilled Texas metal fabricator. What started with cardboard cutouts quickly evolved, from the welding bench to the first prototype mounted on a rugged American pickup. Road Armor was born. All-American, Texas strong, and committed to craftsmanship that set a new standard from the very beginning. Right from its inception, a meticulous attention to detail and a passion for innovation drove every design. We proudly hired and supported veterans, recruited skilled craftspeople from every background, and committed to building essential equipment that protects what matters most.

Film-Worth Designs

As word spread, so did our reputation. Road Armor bumpers earned the spotlight in blockbuster films like Transformers and the Fast & Furious franchise. The aggressive, toughness of our designs quickly gained momentum for their overtly rugged style and practical protection.

Celebrity's Choice

In the meanwhile NFL superstars and celebrity drivers chose Road Armor to protect their personal vehicles, posting content socially and spreading the word on the streets. Our products became synonymous with a reputation for style, strength and reliability.

A Fresh Partnership

In 2023, Road Armor was acquired by Morton Industries, an Illinois-based leader in metal fabrication with over 80 years of expertise. Morton Industries sets the world standard of excellence in US manufacturing of fabricated tube assemblies, sheet metal fabrications and enclosures. Partnering with them strengthened our foundation in every way, setting the stage for the next evolution and the future of our brand.

Our Mission

From 2025, we are expanding beyond smooth steel bumpers to serve a more diverse and far-reaching 4x4 and adventure-driven community. Our bold new vision embraces opportunities that transcend traditional expectations, converting even the most unsuspecting drivers into lifelong Road Armor fans.As we continue to grow, our mission remains unwavering: to protect what matters most. Crafting uncompromising American-made products that equip independent adventurers and weekend warriors with secure confidence. Road Armor may be aftermarket, but we’re not an afterthought.
